Hello dear one, and welcome to this space. I am honored to invite you into this deep learning of self and how we can grow our internal spaciousness to better understand our relation to the world around us.

My name is Mariel Ferreiro. I am a passionate futurist, lover of community, a bodyworker skilled in trauma informed practice and dedicated to this work of understanding my relation to this world, my body and my spirit.

I come from a long line of matriarchal love, passion and continued healing. My ancestry is deeply rooted in Mexican tradition and my spiritual guidance has been developed in my culture, in the ways of the Buddha, queer radical love and sacred text. My dedication to my community is rooted in spiritual abolition brought forward by many generations of incredible Black pioneers.

I am eternally grateful for my teachers and lineages that I have the opportunity to study with. My forever Dharma teachers lama rod owens, thich nhat hanh, and Rev. angel Kyodo Willams and the lineages of Kagyu Tibetan Buddhism and Soto Zen Buddhism. My yoga lineage first with Iyengar asana, a deepened study of yogic text & philosophy and trauma informed study with Genevieve Yellin. My lineage in curandismo and traditional healing of my ancestors and the indigenous peoples of my homelands I am honored to learn from. My teacher Dr. David Bercelli in the world of trauma release and TRE. Without these foundational teachers and lineages, I would not be able to be supported while I support others. “If you are not immersed in tradition, then your karma leads your training.”

I believe in radical liberation for all. That in this life we are to be of service to others while creating sacred space for our own inner work. I support people, my community by supporting radical change in social justice movements, educating folks on the importance of lifting up and learning from oppressed communities, working with people and their trauma as a way to find a relationship to their suffering in their healing path.

“Sentient beings are numberless, I vow to save them all.”
